How long have you been a DJ?

I have been in the entertainment business for over 20 years.

Why do you enjoy being a DJ?

When I was 10-years old, I was at a Halloween party and saw my cousins DJing on 2 turntables and a mixer.  I remember thinking it was so cool to see them mixing music. After my parents got me my first set of turntables I embraced the art of DJing and, within five years, I was selling mix tapes at school and became a professional disc jockey. After numerous years in the business the one aspect that has always been the driving force in my Djing is the ability to express my creativity. I love being able to find new and exciting ways to be creative with music, and seeing people enjoying my mixes. Even though my DJing has provided opportunities to work with record labels like Columbia Records and Sony Entertainment, It does not compare to the feeling of rocking a live dance floor.

How would you describe your style as a DJ?

I have been in the entertainment industry long enough to change styles and adapt, to make the event the best it can be.  I believe one of the most important aspects to being a great DJ is the ability to read and respond to the crowd at any given moment.  Thinking 2-3 songs ahead while finding creative ways to play for the crowd best describes my style.
